How to find images that do not have keywords in Lightroom desktop not lightroom Classic.

Sorry if I should have found it from documentation

Correct answer Claire H.

Hi @4338443, Thanks for reaching out to the forums! In Lightroom Desktop (not Classic), there currently isn't a built-in way to filter or search for images without keywords. Unlike Lightroom Classic, which offers Library Filters and Smart Collections, Lightroom Desktop is more limited in this area.

Unfortunately, the only workarounds I can think of would be fairly manual. As you add keywords to images, consider adding them to a dedicated album (e.g., "Keyworded"). You can then compare this album to your whole catalog to spot images that might be missing keywords. Or filter them another way, such as using the flag or star ratings as you're tagging. If you can access Lightroom Classic, you can sync your cloud catalog and use its powerful filtering tools to find images without keywords. This is a more advanced workaround, but very effective.

If you want to see more advanced filtering in Lightroom Desktop, please feel free to add the request to our Ideas section of the forums! ^CH
