Question

For sorting through photos, does Lightroom allow you to choose only the X orZ photos in a gallery with one click instead of having to hold ctrl and select each individually?

The is an option on each photo to select x or a check mark. When culling through photos in a large gallery I like to go through and X out the ones I don’t want to use. Then to remove them, I have to hold CTRL and select each X to delete them. Why doesn't LR offer a way to select only the X photos or checked photos in a gallery with one click? It would significantly speed up the process.

Hi! There is no single one-click "select all Rejected" button, but you can do it in two quick steps instead of Ctrl-clicking each photo:

    1. Stay in the grid view (not the single-photo view).

    2. Click the filter icon at the top and choose the flag you want — the X for Rejected, or the check mark for Picked.

    3. Press Ctrl+A on Windows, or Cmd+A on Mac, to select all the photos now shown.

Then you can delete or move that whole selection at once. To go back to everything, clear the flag filter again.
