Hi @Gonram, Welcome to the Lightroom community forums! You’ve raised an excellent question. When you import RAW photos, they are indeed displayed in color. The initial black-and-white preview you see is simply a result of your camera settings and is perfectly normal. Once Lightroom finishes processing, the vibrant, full-color version will shine through! While you can't change this preview behavior, you have some great options if you’re aiming for monochrome magic. You can shoot in JPEG, explore your camera's software, or easily convert your color photos to black and white right within Lightroom. Happy editing, and enjoy exploring all the creative possibilities! ^CH
