Question

Full-screen detail view in adapted mode

Hello, before the April 2026 update, when I switched to full-screen detail view (using the F key), I would press the C key to open cropping mode. Then, to check the crop, I would press the C key again, and the photo would resize to fit the screen.

Now, when I press the C key again, the photo remains zoomed out without being resized to fit the screen. See the video capture for more details.

    Hi @Floki1901,

Thanks for reporting this and for sharing the screen recording. Please update to Lightroom v9.3.1 first and test again to see whether the behavior changes.

I checked this on my end, and pressing C again after cropping in full-screen detail view is still returning the image to Fit to Screen as expected.

I’m attaching a comparison recording from my side. Please check whether I’m understanding your workflow correctly or if your behavior differs from what I tested.

Let us know how it goes after updating.

    Best,

Thanks for the updated video. I have tried to recreate this on two Windows test devices, and it worked as expected.

Please share the system info from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

    Try these steps:

1 - Please follow the steps here to identify and update the GPU Drivers for the device you're working on, and troubleshoot any underlying issues with the Graphics processor on your machine: https://community.adobe.com/questions%2D712/set%2Dup%2Dgpu%2Dfor%2Dhigh%2Dperformance%2Din%2Dphotoshop%2Dquick%2Dtip%2D1149214

2 - You can check if setting GPU performance in Edit > Preferences > Performance > Graphics Performance > Power-saving & High-performance help.

    Thanks!
