Galaxy S25 and HDR Editing

As of 1/16/26, HDR Editing is supposed to be supported on the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S25 phones. When I turn on HDR Mode, with all relevant settings in my S25+ on, the app tells me that it's not supported on my device. Am I doing something wrong? Is it not actually supported like the update claims?

Hi Sameer,

I'm not sure if the team did something or if a glitch resolved itself, but it appears to be working correctly now.

I opened the app and it allows HDR Display and editing without problems. No updates or changes to my phone were made.

If this was the Adobe team, thanks so much. If not, hopefully this can help identify a possible bug for other users.

Hey, @A Divergent Lens. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share more details, including the Lightroom version, mobile OS details, screenshots, and video recordings of your Lightroom workflow. Is Lightroom installed from the Galaxy Store or the Play Store?

Thanks!

I'm running Lightroom from the Google Play Store, version 11.1.2 on a Samsung Galaxy S25+ running Android 16.

Attached are two screenshots. The first is of the update notes from 1.16.26 as it shows in the Whats New section of the app.

The second is the message that displays when I turn on Edit in HDR Mode in the Light module, and click the histogram.
