google pixel 9 pro xl hdr editing not available

HDR editing not available on my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL with LR Version 11.3.3.

When I try swithing to hdr editing mode, lightroom just says my “device is not supported”, eventhough pixel 9 pro is listed as a supported device. Interestingly the pixel 9 pro xl is not listed specifically, but why would there be any difference between pixel 9 pro and pixel 9 pro xl?

It did work previously, then my phone got replaced through warranty and now it does not work anymore. Taking HDR photos and editing them in other apps does work perfectly fine.

Really annoying and absolutely ridiculous that Lightroom has such issues with this feature, where other apps work just fine.

Hi @marco.re21, thanks for reaching out to the Lightroom Community Forums! Let’s try a few things to get you back to editing your HDR photos. Here is an article on how to capture your HDR photos within Lr: https://adobe.ly/4ew2Id3

In the meantime, let’s try some basic troubleshooting steps. As a reminder, back up your photos before trying these steps:

    1. Reset App Preferences: Sometimes, resetting the app preferences can resolve issues:

      • Open Lightroom.

      • Go to Settings.

      • Find the option to reset preferences (if available) and confirm the reset.

    2.  Reinstall the App: If the issue persists, try uninstalling and then reinstalling Adobe Lightroom:

      • Uninstall the app from your device.

      • Restart your phone.

      • Reinstall Lightroom from the Google Play Store.

    3. Check HDR Settings: After reinstalling, ensure that HDR editing mode is enabled:

      • Open Lightroom.

      • Go to Preferences.

      • Under Photo Import Options, enable HDR edit mode for new photos.

If none of these steps work for you, we can continue troubleshooting. I hope this helps! ^CH
