Heal/Clone Brush Doesn't work

I can't make Heal/Clone Brush to do what it is supposed to do.  Basically, it doesn't work.  Please help! Thanks.

    Did you ever figure this out? Mine won't work on my new Imac. Wont work basiucally means it won't move, do anything, it's as though it doesn't recognize attempts to use it. Super frustrating.

    Check your tool settings, such as Size, Feather and Opacity. For the second poster: define 'wonky'.

    My heal/clone brush is all wonky too...and i can't find help anywhere to get it fixed
