help! new iPad duplicating library

Hi there,

I bought myself a new iPad for the first time in 5 years, and launched Lightroom CC on it. At first things looked good, but then I started to see a new entry in the Recently Added list, for this exact time, for photos that are 20 years old.   It appears to be duplicating a large chunk of my Lightroom CC library, if not all of it.  And it's syncing them to the cloud, I can see those "recently added" photos on Lightroom CC on the desktop, too.  I remembered I could pause syncing, so did that, but how do I stop the madness?

thanks,

Michael H.

How did the photos originally get imported into Lightroom? Could it be auto importing from the Camera Roll / iCloud (if you use iCloud)?

Hi!  That certainly may be it.  Long story but: I started using Lightroom CC for "new" photos after Aperture stopped working, but I still had all my old photos in an Aperture DB.  I eventually used CYME's Avalanche to import Aperture to original Lightroom, then I took the top-starred ones of that and put them into Photos.  I haven't changed any settings on my phone or iPad since then (to my knowledge), and my phone has always imported new photos -> Lightroom CC when I launch Lightroom on the phone, but I don't think I saw this?

The current state now is that desktop Lightroom CC says 539 photos are imported yesterday 8:13pm, and they're a mix of new photos from my phone (since I opened Lightroom there while poking) and photos from literally 2004 when I got married.

On the new iPad, looking....  syncing is still paused, it says "Resume syncing...", and now it says "No activity" when before it said it was importing 8k from the camera roll?  Is it safe to resume syncing, I can't tell where those 8k it said it was processing went, they're not in Recently Added.
