HELP! upgrade to Mojave on Mac OS now cannot open Lightroom

Hi all - I've had Lightroom on my Mac since Dec 2015 and the husband just downloaded an "upgrade" to Mojave. Now I'm unable to open the application entirely. I'm seeing the "?" on the toolbar. I'm devastated as photos are my one passion and hobby that is helping me get through the pandemic.  Any suggestions?
