Help with Error Message???

When I move to edit a photo in Lightroom, I get the message: "unable to read proxy image"

This just started happening recently. And, it only happens on my laptop, not when I am editing on my phone.....any ideas?

I'm having this exact issue as well. I don't know what it means, and I've tried contacting adobe support, but they couldn't find a solution either. If anyone knows, please tell us.
