HIF files support on Android Lightroom

Hello Team,

 

On LR for iOS, HIF files from Sony and Fuji cameras can easily be edited, but not on Android, when will this file format be supported?

    Does your current Android OS offer support for HIF files? 
    I suspect that is the issue.

    My Samsung S23 has native support for HEIC, and shoots in this format, so edits it as well. I also used Google Pixel 7 which also shot in HEIC natively.

    I asked about "HIF," not native HEIC.  Does your Android device recognize and deal with HIF files via the OS, bypassing Lightroom?
