High CPU usage while flipping through images

Recently I noticed LR CC (Windows 10) was a bit sluggish as I was browsing through my pictures. Opening up the task manager on my second screen I could see the CPU usage spike to 100% while flipping through the images. Switching faster between different images made the load consistently peak at 100%.

Is this behavior normal ? I have been using LR CC for a little while now and never felt it stutter before.

    I think the CPU usage is expected, but stuttering isn't. Parsing metadata and re-rendering big images is no small task.
