Housekeeping

I need help! Has anyone experienced an issue with Lightroom after an update that says Lightroom needs to do some housekeeping but doesn't do anything?!? The status bar hasn't moved in 48 hours and I've tried everything to get it to start working again!

Is this on your computer? I would just quit and restart. Maybe go to Lightroom.adobe.com and check on your images, then start it back up again. I get that message all the time, usually after an update but it only takes a couple minutes.

Yes, the issue is on my laptop. I have tried all of the following:

 

Uninstall and reinstall lightroom. Did this multiple times and restarted my computer between each one.

 

Delete any unused photos. I had and still have more than enough memory available. 

 

Run Lightroom as an administrator.

 

Remove firewall.

 

I have done all of this and still nothing more than 48 hours later. This is the first time that this message has popped up after an update and won't go away.
