How can I transfer a single folder from classic to CC ?

Imported some photos into Classic and edited them.

Now I would like to only transfer that one folder from my classic catalog to CC - and then I want to delete the folder from Classic.

I understand that I can put all the photos into a Classic Collection and then Sync it with CC, but if I delete the photos from Classic, will it remain in CC?

Thanks!

If you delete the photos from Lr Classic, they will be deleted from the cloud as well. The only way to stop that would be to pauze sync of the Lr Classic catalog before you delete the photos, and never enable sync again.

That's right, it isn't. When you share collections from Lightroom Classic, Lightroom Classic is in control. The collections that are shared are smart previews, Not the full-sized images. The master images are still in Lightroom Classic. The only way you can have the full-sized images in Lightroom for the cloud is to import them directly into that program.

Thanks for the answer, but never enabling sync again is not realistic 😞

So don't delete the folder from Lr Classic. That shouldn't be such a big deal...
