How do I remove the top left editing tool?

How can I remove the editing box on the top left? I have no idea how it got up there. It covers the photo when I'm trying to edit.

I assume you are referring to the Histogram panel.

If so- Tap on the (...) three dot icon and select 'View Options' where you can change the option.
