Hi everyone,I'm interested in learning how people manage their Lightroom libraries when working across multiple devices.I work in medical billing, so I'm usually dealing with documents and computer-based work during the day, but photography is one of the hobbies I use to relax after work. I'm starting to use Lightroom more seriously and like the idea of having photos available across desktop and mobile.For those using the cloud-based Lightroom ecosystem:How do you organize a large photo library? Keep your library organization simpleFor a large library, I’d recommend avoiding very deep folder structures such as Year > Month > Day > Event. Lightroom already captures the date, so you generally don’t need to recreate all of that manually.Instead, use folders for broad categories such as Work, Photography, Trips, Events, or Projects, and usealbumsinside those folders for the real day-to-day structure, for example:Work → Bills / 2026 BillsPhotography → Nature / FlowersTravel → individual trips or destinationsAlbums are especially useful in the cloud-based Lightroom ecosystem because your organization and edits sync across supported devices.2. Take advantage of Lightroom's organization toolsYou don't have to organize everything manually. Lightroom includes several tools that can help as your library grows:Choose the best photos with Assisted CullingGroup your photos into stacksFind and organize photos of people in People ViewRename files in Lightroom on desktopSearch is also very useful for a large collection, so albums don't have to do all the organizational work.3.
