Question

How do you streamline web distribution formats for still images?

Hello!

I work at a social media managing agency as a lifestyle photographer.

Our workflow currently has us manually cropping and sizing each image for all our social media platforms and ads (Twitter, Facebook, IG Story, Dark AD...etc).

We are opening pre-made templates for each format in photoshop then re-sizing/cropping and exporting for web. It is time consuming to do this to every image we submit and are looking for a way to make this formatting more efficient.

I know where is capability in MediaEncoder to export multiple formats for different web platforms but I don't know if it supports still images.

Thanks!

With Lightroom Classic you can select multiple images and crop them all simultaneously, then export them efficiently at various sizes (stored using Export presets). These are standard features.

Hi Sarah,

Are you looking to do batch cropping in Lightroom or Media Encoder?

As of now there is no feature available in Lightroom to do batch cropping of images. However, we'd love to get this request and feedback submitted officially as a feature request so the engineering team can get this recorded. Could you please post this feedback here: Lightroom Desktop (Cloud-based) | Photoshop Family Customer Community

You may try using Lightroom Classic to do batch crop, please check this article to know more: How to Batch Crop Photos in Adobe Lightroom
