How safe are images stored by Adobe in CC?

I am really enjoying LR CC. I have all my images in the cloud. My question is what does Adobe do to ensure that my photos stored in the cloud are not lost due to a server malfunction. Does Adobe keep the files in more than one location?

I would expect Adobe's cloud storage/backup infrastructure to be very robust. As such, I think you'll find that the weak link with storing your photos in the Adobe Cloud is yourself rather than Adobe. Basically, any files you delete intentionally or accidentally are gone.
