How to avoid saving iPad edits to cloud

I have done all of my editing in PS on my desktop but am in the process of learning it on my iPad. When I open an image from my Creative Cloud files and practice editing, it saves the edits back to the cloud. How can I avoid this temporarily while I’m learning and don’t want to keep my practiced edits?

You can pause the sync  (the little cloud icon), but you don't really need this as you can always step back your edits. You can also save an edit version (the versions item in the edit strip) and go back to that after you're done.
