How to determine total size of exported photos ?

I am loading a flash drive with pictures to send to my daughter, (shots of trips & events containing a few hundred pictures each).

 

Is there a way to determine the total size of each export to determine if there's enough space left on the stick ?

Export to a folder on your hard drive. Then you can open that folder using your system browser and examine the size of each file to determine how many you can send to the flash drive. That's about the only way I am aware of that you can know for sure.
