I don't want to use Lightroom Mobile. Every time when i start Lightroom the "getting started windows" of Lightroom Mobile pops up. Any idea how to permanently disable Lightroom Mobile and/or getting rid of the annoying gettting started window?

Why hasn't Adobe chimed in on this.  This is so annoying.  And then they want you to buy CC.  But they can't even fix this.

So this bullshit has never been solved?

There's nothing that needs solving or fixing.

See above post by

Create a Dummy Catalog. When that prompt shows up sign in to LR Mobile and link a Dummy collection in the dummy catalog. The collection doesn't have to have any images in it. Once you set that up and never sign out of LR mobile the prompts will stop. You don't need LR mobile on any mobile device

Also why are you always creating catalogs. The only time that prompt comes up is when you create a new catalog"

I found this post, which also worked for me:

Is this question still not answered? I'm getting sick and tired of that nag message to sign into Lightroom Mobile. I don't want it. I have no intention of using it, and it appears this can't be disabled.

I want no part of this service. I have a billion photos and I'm not even going to begin to try and sync any of my catalogs. How do I make this go away?

It seems impossible. No doubt this will be fixed as quickly as all the other bugs! The regular updates to Creative Cloud have not delivered the bug fixes as promised Adobe!

There's no bug. Sign in to your account, then switch sync off in the Identity Panel or in Preferences > Mobile.

John - thanks for your reply but this doesn't seem to have any effect. Every time I create a new catalog it still takes me through the syncing question ("Take your Lightroom everywhere") and cursor animation.

I got rid of it by going to "Lightroom" menu > "Preferences" > "Lightroom mobile" > "options" and remove the flag from "Prevent system sleep during sync".

I was registered with Adobe so I logged in - from the upper left corner of the Lightroom panel. I'm using LR6.0 standalone (not CC). Once I logged in to adobe I was able to pause Lightroom Mobile - and the message disappeared after I logged out. It didn't reappear after I logged out of LR. I haven't rebooted and tried but I'm expecting that the screen is gone.

Yay! This did it. Thanks!

No professional photographer (which are usually the ones that use LR) is going to use a mobile app. So dumb!

I had the same problem. I did what Andrew8400 suggested and it seems to work. So far the message did not re-appear.

Thanks

Same problem a month after updating to LR 6.3... or maybe it was because my motherboard died and had to be replaced. One way or another, I got re-enrolled in a Lightroom Mobile trial I didn't want, and when it expired, I started getting the pop-up. Unfortunately Andy8400's suggestion didn't solve it for me, but here is what did.

If you are a registered Lightroom 6 (perpetual license) customer, don't want Creative Cloud or LR Mobile, and get a pop-up window every time you start LR that says:  "Signed out of Lightroom Mobile" and want that pop-up to stop popping up:

Do the unintuitive thing and click the "Sign In" button. You're not signing in or signing up for anything... just click that button.

You may or may not then immediately see another pop-up window saying that Adobe just sent you an e-mail asking you to verify your e-mail address. I was sent this e-mail. Obviously if you get this e-mail, verify the link to confirm your e-mail address for Adobe. Again, you're not signing up for anything doing this.

Now close Lightroom and restart it. This time the message should not appear... and should not be back... at least until the next time you update LR such as from LR 6.3 to LR 6.4 and are enrolled in yet another Lightroom Mobile trial you didn't ask for and still don't want. Great way to treat customers /sarcasm.

Same annoying problem BUT....

I signed out from the HELP menu; thanks for the suggestion. When signing in, I chose to sign out from the Adobe interface popup, preventing LR from loading from this computer (which it didn't... scary!). When I went to sign in, I was asked for my serial number from my purchased, stand alone (no CC) copy. I entered the SN (fortunately I had this saved) and LR returned only this time there is no "sign into LR Mobile" prompt. Apparently when upgrading to LR 6.3 it forced a trial on me that I never asked for. I had received many prompts that my "trial" had expired so I thought it would go away but it didn't.

So my sign into LR Mobile is gone at last but if my instructions were unclear, it's because I do not want to go through this again just to get the words right! I'm sue you understand. I hope it works for anyone who tries. Anyway, it's good to be back at my purchased, non-CC Lightroom once again. 73.

Thanks Andy8400

Signing out in help-menu was the only way for me.

If you know your serial number, do this and get rid of this annoying problem.
