How to move existing photos from Lightroom Cloud and Lr to external hard drive?

I have used the LrC cloud based on my phone for a while due to not having computer. Now that I have a laptop, I noticed that it is low on space due to sync photos.

I have also bought a compute and a 12 tb external hard drive and have followed the instructions on a subsequent topic for backing up my files to the external hard drive. Required space and programs not able to open the program, I have Windows 10; have me researching how to resolve this issue, so I can used the program to edit, for which I have yet to do.

Thank you, gratefully,

MIM

Open the Lightroom Preferences, and on the Cache tab you will see various options relating to the local storing of original images that are in the Cloud. One option would be to not have the originals stored locally (which is the way I have the preferences set), but if you decide that you do want them all stored locally you can change the location from the default (which will be on the system drive) to an external drive by using the “Browse” option to select the external drive. When you change the location, Lightroom will move all the currently stored local images to the new location.
