How to move Lightroom CC to a new Mac

Hi,

I purchased a new Mac and would like to move my Lightroom CC catalog from my old Mac. I know that I could just install Lightroom CC on the new Mac and download everything from the cloud. But I have a huge catalog, so I want to avoid re-downloading it if possible. I'm wondering if there's documentation about what files I need to copy.

Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are using the default cache then simply install LRCC and when launched on your mac, appropriate sized previews will be downloaded. This is the most efficient way to use LRCC with your only original being in the cloud. If you select the option in preferences to store a copy locally; that will obviously use more disk space.

Are you really talking about Lightroom CC, the cloud-based version? Or are you talking about Lightroom Classic CC? There's a big difference.

Yeah, I'm using the new cloud-based Lightroom CC.

If it were the Lightroom Classic CC, I could copy the catalog and the photos directory. But with the cloud version, I'm not sure what I need to copy to minimize downloading from the Adobe cloud.

Are you synchronized to Lightroom Classic CC on your desktop?
