Question

I am attempting to change the path of my files, however the right side of the screen under Cache is cut off, so the browse button does not appear.

I go to preferences, cache and the right side of the screen is cut off.  The option to select Browse in order to select a drive/folder for my files is unavailable.

    Hi @mcgirtvideophoto,

Thanks for reporting this. A couple of additional things to check:

    • Make sure your display scaling/DPI is not set unusually high. Especially on high-resolution monitors or multi-monitor setups

    • Try temporarily lowering the UI scaling in your OS display settings and relaunch Lightroom

    • If you’re on Windows:

    • Right-click Lightroom shortcut
    • Properties > Compatibility > Change high DPI settings
    • Test with “Override high DPI scaling behavior” enabled

If the Preferences window still cuts off after that, please share:

    • Copy & paste your system info from the Lightroom > Help > System Info.
    • Monitor resolution/scaling settings
    • A screenshot of the entire Preferences window

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best,

Yeah, that cut-off cache path window is a known annoyance in the latest Lightroom Classic.

Quick fix that works for most people:

    • Press F12 (or go to Window > Screen Mode > Normal) to exit Full Screen mode if you're in it.
    • Then simply resize the Preferences window by dragging the bottom-right corner bigger.

The Browse button should appear once the window is wide enough.

If that doesn't do it, try resetting preferences (hold Alt+Shift while launching Lightroom) – it usually brings the dialog back to normal size.

Let me know if the window still gets cut off after resizing.
