I am looking for a way to locate duplicates in Lightroom CC and a way to lock edits on shared albums.

I would like to be able to lock photos from being edited further and/or deleted in shared albums. As well as a way to locate duplicate images in Lightroom CC.

      Thanks for the additional info.  We don’t have a way to lock a shared photo from being edited, but totally understand that need. Let me talk to the team on our options here.

      A photo lock feature and built-in duplicate detection would be great additions. I’d recommend submitting these as feature requests since they’d benefit many Lightroom users.

        Thank you so much for the assistance. Of course I found the “Clean up” section in the web app after I posted. As for locking down photos, this is more for me I would like to make sure that photos shared in an album are not inadvertantly changed (edited by me).

        I share albums by creating a separate album with the selected photos added. There seems to be no way to put a lock on photos in albums. Is there another setting i’m overlooking?

        For duplicate detection, try out the Clean Up feature in Lightroom Web -- lightroom.adobe.com.  There is a “Duplicates” tab for identifying and acting on all duplicate and similar photos.  We’re doing an update soon so any feedback you have would be great.

        For sharing, you fully control what you allow others to do with photos in a share.  Folks cannot delete photos you share and can’t edit them if you prevent that.  Take a look at the options there and let us know if anything is missing.
