I can't find my edited photos in Adobe Lightroom

Hello,

I've made edits to two photographs in Adobe Lightroom (not Classic) but when I re-opened the software, my photographs are showing in their original state minus the edits. Is there a history tool or somewhere I can recover the edits I have already made? Quite frustrating.
