Greetings:

I just installed Lr desktop,  which comes with my PS subscription, on my HP Pavillion laptopn and Lr Mobil on my Galaxy S20 FE 5G  but I'm not seeing the grid on either app. Please advise.

Peace.

The icons in your screen shot just change how library items are arranged on the screen; I'm looking for the checkerboard grid that overlays an image and is used to help straighten it. It is seen in a 2017 LinkedIn Video "Learning Photo Restoration with Photoshop" The phone as a capture device at 03:08 / 05:26.  See: https://www.linkedin.com/learning/learning-photo-restoration-with-photoshop/the-phone-as-a-capture-device?autoplay=true&resume=false  Maybe it's been decommissioned. I shoot mostly analog and my only DSRL camera does not have a raw setting. So being able to create tiffs with my phone edit in raw in PS  is a bonus because I also do photo restoration.

You are looking for the Transform Tool Grid - not the Library Grid. Thank you for the clarification.

The Tools in the Geometry Panel should show the Grid Overlay when you are moving the sliders. It does not appear when using the Guided Upright tool. Clicking on any slider in that panel should expose the grid.  The behavior is the same in Android.

On Lightroom Desktop typing the KBSC [ G ] for Grid will show you the Grid, tapping it again will toggle between the two available grids.

On Lightroom Android: tapping any album in Library view will show you a grid. The vertical 3-dot menu at top right will allow you to change how the. grid is displayed.

If you have further questions, a screenshot of your Windows machine might help.

Hi Rikk. That didn't work. As you can see in this screen shot here what typing in [G produced was not a grid.  I didn't even finish the expression. Just the first two parts. Odd. My OS is Windows 11 on an HP Pavillion.

Type the letter G - not the brackets...
Brackets are Nomenclature for buttons e.g. [Enter] [Shift] [ G ]
