Question

I'm unable to set the star and flag in Lightroom on my iPad while cloud sync is enabled.

app version: 8.4.1 2C9D5C/103

Before subscribing to the Creative Cloud plan, I subscribed to the iPad Lightroom service through the App Store and was able to use all Lightroom features locally. However, after subscribing to the Creative Cloud plan and enabling cloud sync, I am unable to modify the star and flag ratings of my photos, making it impossible for me to work. Pausing cloud sync does not solve the problem. The only way I can use this feature is through the web version of Lightroom. My browser uses a Hong Kong network while Lightroom uses a Mainland China network. Could this be the cause of the problem?

  1. Version of the app: V8.4.1
  2. Platform and OS version: iPadOS 16.5.1
  3. Basic steps to reproduce the problem:
    1) Without subscribing to the creative cloud plan, import photos in raw format on the ipad and modify the star rating.
    2) Subscribe to the creative cloud plan and enable synchronization to synchronize the photos to the cloud, and only keep the smart preview locally.
    3) Try to modify the star rating in ipad full image editing mode
    4) Return to the thumbnail mode, and you will find that the star rating of the information overlay has not changed, and you cannot find the photos after the star rating has just been modified in the filter
    5) At this time, a similar bug will appear in the Windows Lightroom client
  4. Expected result and actual result:
    fix the bug
