Question

I need help accessing Lightroom

Currently, I'm working on a computer with Windows 10 Education. I've downloaded, re-downloaded, and installed Lightroom (Not classic). The problem I'm running into is every time Lightroom is opened, an error comes up: Win32 API error 126 ("The specified module could not be found.") when calling ::LoadLibrary from getCFunction.

Turns out this is from using Windows 10 Education, and I cannot seem to see what files are missing that are causing this isue.

In addition, to try and resolve this issue, I've tried reinstalling and updating Microsoft Visual C++, with no success.

Hi @Konnor28776558to4n

Thanks for reaching out. Let's try to find out what's going wrong here.

Which version of Lightroom CC are you using? When you uninstalled Microsoft Visual C++, could you open Lightroom, then?

Using the manual method, you can try to reset the preferences of Lightroom using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2JSym5e

Please back up your presets prior to resetting the preferences.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Ranjisha
