Question

I traveled extensively for 10 years and took thousands of pictures. I edited them in Lightroom and attached keywords. I have now stopped traveling and taking pictures and no longer require a picture editor. All pictures are local.

How can I cancel my subscription to Lightroom and retain access to my pictures (.DNG format) with my edits and keywords? I am open to a one time purchase of software to accomplish this. Can Photoshop Elements read Lightroom edits and keywords?

    Hi @authentic_build9582

Thanks for reaching out. After cancellation, Adobe will continue to store your original Lightroom images for one year after your membership lapses. During this period, you can download your original files from Adobe’s cloud services. You can find more information about what happens after your subscription ends here: https://helpx.adobe.com/account/individual/subscriptions-and-plans/renewals-and-cancellations/account-access-after-plan-cancellation.html

You can also download all your synced Lightroom files by following the steps here:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/web/share-your-work/review-and-download/download-all-synced-files.html

I recommend downloading and securely backing up your files during this one-year period, as cloud copies will not be available afterward.
