I want to report a geolocation metadata problem

When importing pictures exported from Apple Photos, in some cases the longitude values have a sign error where East changes to West.   Photos which were captured in Washington are shifted to an obscure rice field in China.  I am uploading an example photo which shows this behavior.  The longitude of the actual location captured with my iPhone was 122° 48' 12.072" W.  Upon uploading this file into Lr, the longitude changes to 122° 48' 12.072" E.  West changed to East.  Is this a bug?

This looks like a geolocation metadata issue. If the exported file has the correct West longitude but Lightroom imports it as East, it's likely a Lightroom bug. Verify the GPS metadata in the original, exported, and imported files to identify where the longitude changes, then report it to Adobe with a sample file if reproducible.

To follow on with this topic, I will include a file from my iPhone captured in Washington State which was shifted to a rice field in China upon uploading into Lightroom.  The correct longitude was 122° 48' 12.072" W, and this changed to 122° 48' 12.072" E in Lightroom.

The “Ask a question” site seems buggy.  Let me try again to raise my question.  When importing photos exported from Apple Photos, I am sometimes finding that longitude metadata values are converted from West to East.  In other words the angle stays the same, but the sign is chanted in error.  I will try to submit a follow on remark that includes an example file.  I suspect there is a bug lurking somewhere.

I see now that I am not able to upload a 6 MB file attachment to this site to provide an example that shows the bug I described.
