If I reinstall Lightroom will it affect my images if some are stored locally, and not on the cloud?

I am having LOTS of issues with Lightroom after the 6.3.1 update. it has slowed to a crawl. features like HDR or Panorama are not even working. Lightroom has gone from being great, to being less than 5% of what it was a month ago. It has completely bricked my ability to work.

I would like to reinstall lightroom, but am concerned about how this might affect my images, presets, and edits. Many of my images are not uploaded to the cloud at all (I am planning on reverting to Lightroom Classic but have not done so yet). They are stored locally on an external hard drive.

If I uninstall and reinstall Lightroom Cloud, will my image edits be affected once I reinstall? Will things be the same, or will I lose those edits since they haven’t been uploaded to the cloud?
