Image management

Hello. I am brand new to Lightroom ( not classic version) I have no idea about photo management. From where are my origalinal images stored, getting them into LR in some order, getting them into the editing window. Once I have started editing an image how do I keep saving it as I go along? Can I reverse edits made. Once I have finished editing how do I save the image? Does it get saved in the cloud or where the original image was stored. Could somone pleas point me in the direction where I can find the information I require please? So I can stop banging my head against the wall
