Impact of removing LR on another installation

Hi 

I have  LR installed on a windows pc and had the hard drive. replaced.  LR now indicates that it is unable to move photos to the cloud as the DATA is offline. There is an option to Forget Volume that will delete the data that was presumably located on the earlier hard drive. If I do this Forget Volume will it have any affect on the copy that was installed on the lap top before the disk replacement ?
