importing an album from iphoto

I am trying to import an album, so that I can create a nice slideshow. The photos in the abum are  already arranged the way I want them, but when I import, it scrambles them all up!  There are 200 photos, so I really don't want to have to start all over again arranging the photos

I'd assume that any custom order set in Apple Photos will not be honoured in Lightroom and that the photos would have the be reordered manually again.

If Keywords and Captions import from Apple Photos (I cannot recall) then one idea may be to use these as a numerical order for guidance.

It will be interesting to see if anyone else has any advice.
