Hi everyone ...

I have Lightroom 5 & its been some time since I was taught how to use it...so feeling a bit stumped & hoping someone may be able to help! My son & I were out shooting in the weekend with our own cameras, I have imported our shots into Lightroom...but it seems to have put them all together but I need them to be separate...we're talking approx 2000 images...is there an easy way to sort them please?

Cheers

Confusingly, there are two kinds of Lightroom 5, and they do this differently.

Just to clarify…are you using:

Lightroom 5, released in 2013

(the current version of that original Lightroom software is now called Lightroom Classic)

If you’re using this, then you will find the Camera filter where KostFan2 said it is.

Lightroom 5 (cloud), released in 2021, which is the forum this question was posted in.

If you’re using this, first you click the filter icon to the right of the search field, and then you click the Camera filter, as shown in the picture below.

But I did this in the current version, Lightroom (cloud) 7, so I hope the filter bar shown below was present in Lightroom (cloud) 5.

On the top of the screen, there is a bar with 4 choices.  If you chose “Metadata” then you have 4 areas you can use to filter and select images, such as by camera.

On the bottom bar, you should see “Capture time” and this gives you the ability to change the way the files are sorted.ou the ability to change the way the files are sorted
