In detail view, the ranking is showing up inconsistently in both mac and windows Lightroom CC

Question

When using detail view, photo ratings are showing up in an inconsistent state with the actual album. This results in either removing the rating in some cases by double setting it or simply just not having the state updated at all. Right now, the detail view is completely inconsistent with the Square Grid view. I can only hope that the Square Grid view is correct since it seems to work with filtering and shows up correctly across devices. This happened since the most recent update to Lightroom on both my Windows and Mac installation. I haven’t yet tested iOS or Android clients.

Hi, @adam.muise. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. Thank you for reporting this. To help us reproduce and investigate, please share a video of what you see, and the system info from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

If you then click 3 stars in Detail View, does it remove the rating? Does switching back to Grid and returning to Detail "fix" it temporarily? Or does it stay wrong until a restart? Is this a large album (thousands of images), or does it happen even with a small set?

Synced vs. local-only? — Are these photos synced to the cloud, and does the issue occur with both synced and local-only images?
