Inserting text on a custom print

I use Lightroom 3. I am making a custom layout by putting two photographs on one sheet of paper.  This part was accomplished without any problems.  However, I am attempting to insert a caption for each photo and the only way I see to insert text is with the Identity Plate feature.  This is only allowing me to insert one line of text.  I can put the same caption on both photos, but I want a different text on the second one.  How can I do this?  Any advice would be appreciated.
