Greg, thanks.

on another matter, I haven't edited in my iPad Lightroom for a few months while traveling, and I am now unable to find the healing brush. Any suggestions?

This is normal, because like many apps, Instagram is designed to provide direct import only from the photo manager provided by the phone OS, which for an iPhone is the photo library managed by Apple Photos. It won’t directly read from any other photo app such as Lightroom. But that is not really a problem, because…

…you simply start from the other end, from Lightroom. For any other app that you want to share to Instagram (so this applies not just to Lightroom but to any other iOS app you might use to post a photo to another app), take advantage of the iOS standard Share icon and menu.

The steps shown in the pictures below are:

1. With image(s) selected in Lightroom, tap the Share icon, which opens the Lightroom share options.

2. In the Lightroom share options menu that pops up, tap Share to get to the iOS share options.

3. In the iOS Share apps list, tap Instagram.

4. Choose the type of Instagram post you want to make, and continue posting to Instagram.

If for some reason this doesn’t provide the Instagram options you want, in step 2 you can instead tap Save Copy to Device. That will export the photo to Apple Photos, which makes it available to the built-in Instagram photo picker so that Instagram can import the photo the usual way.

@david@dāhauspictures, you have posted in the Photoshop Elements forum.  I am moving your post to the Lightroom Ecosystem forum, where you may get more help for your question.
