Installing Lightroom and paid subscription - launch issue

I just got a Mac and installed LR, signing up with a free 7 day subscription. However, when trying to open LR, it takes me back to the subscription page and won't let me open LR even though it recognizes that I have a subscription. I need to complete a photo assignment for my class today. Can someone help?

Hi there,

As Lightroom is taking you to the subscription page every time you're launching it, could you please check if you're signed in to the Creative Cloud Desktop App? If not, then try signing in with your Adobe credentials and let us know if it helps.
