iOS Lightroom app not recognizing photos on my phone

Hi, I'm having trouble figuring this out. I haven't had any problems previously. I use a Nikon z5 and download the photos to my phone directly as JPEG. When I log into my Lightroom app and try to upload them to the app, they don't even show up in my iPhone photos. However, when I go to my iPhone photos seperately, I can upload photos individually into Lightroom. I need to know why Lightroom isn't recognizing these photos from the app as I do shoots and need to be able to upload more than a single photo at once.
