IPad, Export as TIF to Lightroom does not work when When exporting from Lightroom

Im simply trying to duplicate a file in Lightroom. Just like how I do it in Lightroom Classic. I saw the workaround is to export the file then select Lightroom. So within Lightroom on my iPad I select the file, and export. I select TIF as the file type. I then give it a custom name. I export it, and select Lightroom. I get a popup saying that the file will be imported the next time I start Lightroom. So I shut down Lightroom and start it up again. I can only find the file within the Imports folder. And the file is a jpg, and it has the original file name and not the custom name I give it.

Is this the expected result? What the heck am I doing wrong here? This is a 1 second operation in Classic. Is this a bug???
