iPad/iPhone can not see SD Card. No import dialog.

I'm new to Lightroom on iOS and there doesn't seem to be a way to import files from SD card. I've seen videos on YouTube and people just plug in their SD card and an import dialog pops up. . On both my iPad 2020 Pro 11" and my iPhone 15 Pro Max, nothing happens. I can see the files in the native files app. I can see the SD card is connected in the top right. I've tried different cards and different adapters. 

I've gone though every single menu in the app and none offer any sort of import option.
