iPad Photo Backup Workflow

Hello,

I am thinking about upgrading my aging iPad so I can use it as a backup solution out in the field. My workflow would be as follows:

1. Download RAW files from camera to Lightroom Mobile on iPad using Apple SD card reader.
2. Once back home, import those RAW files into Lightroom Classic where I can process them on my more powerful Desktop machine.

Are any of you using this process in your workflow, or would this even work? I know LR Classic has the ability to sync collections to the mobile version of the application, but can the reverse be done--sync from LR mobile to Classic?
