iPad Pro + CF Express

Hi,

 

hoping someone may have a fix for this

 

having issues connecting when trying to import to Lightroom on my iPad Pro 2021 via a CF Express card reader. When selecting to import from the reader it starts to load the card, you can see the spinning wheel that it's working, images appear and the file size goes up. However more often or not before it's loaded the whole card it seems to stop loading. The file size has frozen, if you scroll down images are replaced with blank spaces. When you scroll back up images that had appeared are now blank. The spinning wheel is still going. So it's not crashed. Nothing happens if you leave it. If you close down the app and try again the second time it loads no images. You have to remove the card reader and try again. Every so often it will manage to load the whole card. But it's unreliable and you certainly could expect it to do it when you needed it to. 

anyone else had this issue and found a way to make it work?

Which iOS version are you using?
What size is the card that you are using, how full is it (images, size used), and what reading speed does it have?

Does it help to restart the device?

Does it also have the same behaviour when importing into the native Photos app on the iPad?
