Is it possible to re-import a RAW file together with its .xmp file?

The photo was exported with "Lightroom Downloader" and i would need to work on it again. I am using lightroom mobile for android.

It works if you reimport into Lightroom (Cloud) Desktop, but wouldn't know regarding Android.
