Question

Is there a difference in lightroom for iOS versus lightroom for android?

I edited a full resolution ProRAW 48mp dng file from the 1x main lens on my iPhone 17 Pro Max using the latest lightroom mobile for iOS on the latest version of iOS, using adobe neutral profile, and output it as JPEG. When viewing that JPEG file using my One Plus Open’s native gallery app, and the Google Photos app, it looks very different than when I use the same apps on my iPhone 17 Pro Max.

However, that same ProRAW dng file edited in lightroom mobile for android on my One Plus Open, using the exact same values and settings (adobe neutral profile, all adjustments etc..) as the lightroom mobile for iOS looked identical in viewing in my iPhone 17 Pro Max native photos app, and google photos app for iOS as it did when viewing in my One Plus Open using its default native photo app and google photos for android.

Is there something different when it outputs/processed from lightroom mobile for iOS that’s making it look weird on the One Plus Open’s app?  It isn’t the display of the One Plus Open because the output jpeg from the light room mobile for android like I said, looked identical on iOS as it did on the One Plus Open.

Have you confirmed that you are using the same export settings on the two devices, in particular the output color space?

Hi Jim, thank you for replying.  Both exported srgb jpeg 100%.  You can replicate what I am saying by using a ProRAW, either 12mp or 48mp, post process it and view as I said, and then vice versa from android to view on iPhone and see.

I no longer have an Android phone, only an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’ve taken a couple of ProRaw photos with it, edited it and applied the Adobe Neutral profile, then exported as Jpeg. I air-dropped the jpeg to my MacBookPro and viewed the Jpeg in Preview, where it looked fine. Then imported into a test catalog in LrC and it still looked fine, then viewed the original in LrD and again it looked fine.

So I’m certainly not seeing any obvious issue. Are you able to post some screenshots showing the issue that you are seeing?

One other question, is HDR enabled when editing in LrM, and if so have you enabled HDR output when exporting the raw file to Jpeg?
