Hi

I just want to know if someone has already had this weird idea. A nice converter from negative to positive (for digitalized film) .. or maybe I'm missing something on Lightroom mobile and I'm totally ignoring it. I'm sorry in case is there a way and I cannot find it. Pls in case is already in, would you like to show me how to? (Invert curves isn't enough) ..

thank you very much

This idea was already suggested some time ago, before the migration to this server. The idea was rejected, at the time.

I remember discussions about the possibility to do the same with an inverted tone curve; but many sliders would then act reversed...

Imho, I would NOT bet on an implementation of such a feature in LR and would look towards an automated task combining LR and PS. Shouldn't be too complicated.

I don’t spend time on web reading all posts , but would be nice considering it, due that USA is still the number one consumer in the world about film photography.
But maybe Would it be probably too much work. Imagine that I would have started personally from a converter first and then improving digital photography.
But I know is me, I have to make things straight from 0 to 100.

Oh I completely agree! It would be a nice-to-have funtion and probably rather easy to implement. But I wouldn't expect Adobe to implement such a niche feature.

Hi @NC9977NC

That's a great idea you reached out with. Let me explain this.

Currently, Lightroom doesn't have that functionality. The usability or need for this is very rare in Lightroom as the software mainly focuses on increasing an image's features, look, and view rather than manipulating it. But we do have something similar in Photoshop.

Check the procedure here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEqgawQsbbs.

Best,
