issue with star rating photos

I have a similar problem - I select one photo with a star rating and advance to the next photo and the star rating stays on that photo as well. I landed up using the flags, then filter to that unwanted flags and deleting those. At least it narrowed it down for me but it would be nice to have the star rating selection working properly.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. We haven’t been able to reproduce the behavior where ratings only register intermittently. Could you please help us with a few things:

1. A short screen recording showing the workflow:

• Apply a star rating

• Sort by Star Rating

• Continue rating additional photos

• Show the ratings no longer sorting correctly and disappearing after restarting (if possible)

2. Your System Info. Go to Help > System Info and copy & paste it here.
    

Also, could you confirm:
 

• Does this happen with all photos or only certain file types (RAW, JPEG, TIFF, etc.)?

• Is everything fully synced and visible on Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/4wl3Xm4)? If you perform the same rating workflow in Lightroom Web, do you see the same behavior?

The screen recording and System Info will help us compare your workflow with our test environment and try to reproduce the issue.
