Issues with Image Resolution (DPI) and Crop Tool in Adobe Lightroom

Dear Adobe Lightroom Support,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to request assistance regarding some issues I have encountered while using Adobe Lightroom, for which I recently purchased a one-year subscription.

Firstly, I have noticed that my exported photos are saved at 240 DPI instead of 300 DPI, even though I expect high-resolution output suitable for print. This lower DPI is causing the images to appear pixelated, which is quite concerning given the nature of my work.

Secondly, I am experiencing problems with the Crop tool. When I attempt to crop images, the tool does not align or straighten the photos correctly. Instead, it often results in skewed or unbalanced compositions, despite using the auto-align feature.

Could you please advise on how to resolve these issues? If there are any specific settings I should check or updates I might be missing, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Thank you in advance for your support, and I look forward to your response.

Hey @Monica30

Lightroom will export at 240 DPI, however, it’s possible to export your images at 300 DPI, but you’ll need to follow the steps outlined here: https://adobe.ly/4fW1PcT

As for the crop tool issue, could you share a screenshot of your workspace or a quick video? That would help us better understand what’s happening. 🙂
